Get Some Quick Wins!
It’s easy for parents, caregivers and teachers to feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of online content and the pace at which technology evolves. Our kids are growing up with screens in their hands and learning from sources we didn’t have to navigate when we were their age. That’s why it’s so important for us to equip them, and ourselves, with the tools to thrive in this digital landscape.
The Parent Hub Membership: Your Personal Guide to Digital Wellness
Think of the The Parent Hub as your go-to resource for staying ahead of the digital curve. It's packed with exclusive training videos on media literacy, digital wellness, and online safety, all designed with busy parents and teachers in mind. I get it, we’re all swamped, which is why each video is easy to digest and straight to the point, helping you tackle the topics that matter most, like:
Setting healthy boundaries and invisible fences.
Implementing screen free zones and times.
Understanding Gen-Z and their virtual spaces and relationships.
Understanding how to teach your kids to critically evaluate online content, so they’re not just passive consumers of information.
Recognizing digital red flags, whether it’s slang, online bullying, scams, or inappropriate content.
And so much more.
Everything I make is included in the Hub, which means for one low montly cost, you're getting everything.
The Course for Tweens and Teens: Empowering Them to Take Control
As much as we want to be there for every moment, our kids need to develop their own critical thinking skills and independence (with parameters) when it comes to using technology. My course for tweens and teens is designed with exactly that in mind. It helps them:
Build a strong foundation of digital wellness, which means they’re not just scrolling endlessly but actually understanding how platforms keep them hooked and scrolling.
Learn practical strategies for balancing virtual time with their physical life, so they can enjoy both worlds and stay engaged in real-life activities.
Understand why checking in one their mental and physical health is important in today's online world.
Work on building tiny habits to help them take back control.
Develop conversations with YOU, their parent/carer around tech use.
This course encourages kids to take charge of their digital habits, but it’s also built for parents (in the Parent Hub) and educators (on EduSpark) to walk alongside them if you wish, creating an open dialogue around their online life. Together, you’ll learn how to navigate the digital world in a way that feels manageable and positive.
I taught this course face to face in grades 5-8, but it has been taken online by students up through grade 10, and as young as grade 4, with support. Below, you'll find my welcome video for the course, as well as some snapshots.
The Workbooks and Resources: Hands-On Tools for Daily Conversations
Sometimes, it’s hard to know where to even start the conversation about screens and online life. My workbooks offer parents, educators and kids a fun, interactive way to tackle these big topics. These resources break down the overwhelming world of tech into manageable bites, covering topics like:
Digital footprints: what are they, and why do they matter?
Cyberbullying: how to recognize it and deal with it safely.
Time management: how to set up routines that include, but don’t revolve around, screens.
With easy-to-follow activities, these workbooks are a perfect way to build your child or student's confidence online while opening up important discussions in your household and classroom.
For families, the digital workbooks are in the Parent Hub, or print via Amazon.
For educators, the workbooks (and lesson plans) are on TPT.
Why Now?
The digital world isn’t going anywhere, and neither are our kids’ devices. Whether they’re texting, playing games, or learning online, our kids are navigating more than we could ever have imagined at their age. The stakes are high: from understanding how to critically evaluate what they see, to managing social interactions, to simply knowing when to take a break from the screen. If we can help them build these skills early on, we’re setting them up for success in both the online and offline world.
My Parent Hub and TPT shop give you the support you need as a parent or teacher to help your kids thrive, not just survive, in today’s tech-driven world. Together, we can make the digital world a positive, safe, and empowering space for our kids.
